An Escape to the Country Side 🌾 Here's my Day Trip Itinerary to Cotswold, Downtown Abbey, and Bleinheim Palace 🖼️
While the city of London sometimes has my heart, after getting a feel of what it holds, you start to look for someplace different—perhaps a little change of scenery. In hopes of finding somewhere outside the city to explore, I found this day trip tour to Cotswold, Downton Abbey, and Blenheim Palace.

Starting off Bright & Early with Breakfast
I had breakfast at @CrownPlazaHotel in Kings Cross, London. Up and early at 7:30 a.m., I had the typical London breakfast meal.👩🏻🍳✨🤌🏻 Starting off with some Toast, eggs, bacon, and fruit to balance out the carbs and protein. Side note: if there's one thing I've noticed, it's the bacon that's different from the U.S. If I had to compare the two, I'd say the UK's version is better.
The Journey begins: Starting off at Downtown Abbey's Filming Location
For any Downtown Abbey fans. 🎬 You're going to fall in love with Bampton's village. It's a small town that is not only known for its beloved TV series but also for its rich architectural heritage of the village. Bampton is home to many stone cottages, each with it's unique character and charm.
As I was walking through the village, I began wandering off to the neighborhood; my favorite part about visiting the area was how each cottage home had its own unique decor. Putting up colorful flowers, that little difference, is truly what makes a house have its own touch.
Next Stop Bourton-on-the-Water 🌷
In the heart of the Cotswolds, Bourton-on-the-Water is a picturesque village often referred to as the "Venice of the Cotswolds." It is famous for its Iconic scenery along the river Windrush and its charming stone bridges. Coming to Bourton-on-the-Water was probably one of my favorites on the tour.
Upon my arrival, I was so excited to explore and take pictures of the town itself. It was full of families, couples, and friends hanging out on the ground for a picnic or having lunch on the bench. The vibe and scenery felt so welcoming as it was bright and sunny.☀️ There was even a cute random couple the posed for my photo. That was pretty funny :)
During my time there, I had lunch at The Rose Tree Restaurant, an authentic European restaurant serving a variety of dishes, such as burgers, pasta, calamari, and more.
Perfect for family, friends, and bringing your dogs to tag along with you 😊
A Royal Experience at Blenheim Palace 👑
Last but certainly not least located in Oxfordshire lies one of England's most historic estates. A place that is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of stunning parklands, gardens, and woodlands. It doesn't matter if you're a history enthusiast, a lover of architecture, or seeking a place out in nature Blenheim offers it all.
Captivated by its charming entrance, I entered the British Icons Museum, which showcased the best Icons of all time. Including Amy Wine House and Vivienne Westwood's fashion designs. It included several showcases of gowns, suites, and bedazzling shoes that made a fashion statement.
Aside from the Fashion Museum, held outside, there was this beautiful view of the Palace Garden where there was a bunch of geese hanging out by the fountain looking out towards the river. It was the most magical thing ever. Giving it's own Brigerton Show feel✨
Closing the Tour at the Gardens if there's one thing I wish I had, it would be more time. There was so much to explore by far the most elgeant prettiest places I've ever seen. If your planning a trip to checkout the place I would suggest to come during the summer time as the weather is so nice. As well as planning ahead of time. I was left wishing I had more time to explore since there was so much to see beyond the inside of the palace. I found out on the map there there's even a Garden maze. Next time, that's going on my bucket list.
