The Perfect Seaside Escape: Here's My Day Trip to Brighton, England š¦šāØ
Brighton is a vibrant coastal city on the southern coast of England. It is known for its lively pier, diverse shops, and stunning seaside views. With a great mix of things to offer, It's perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway.
Whether you're exploring the bustling Lanes, enjoying the beach, or indulging in local cuisine, Brighton promises an unforgettable experience. To me, it felt like a home away from home. If you are from SoCal or perhaps somewhere else, you'll instantly fall in love.
After expressing how much I love Brighton, Here's everything I did in a day.
A Walk through the Lanes
While arriving at Brighton around 11 am. What better way to start the day than a stroll through the narrow lanes. Every corner I'd look, I would see cute antique shops. Selling cute jewelry accessories or clothing stores. I can't forget to mention retro music and poster shops.
With an array of cute stores, I wanted to go into every single one. Everything about that area felt so lively. My favorite part of passing through the lanes was how vibrant and colorful the exteriors of the buildings were. I can see why so many people choose to come to Brighton. It's truly known for its pop-out colors, which I believe brings out people's happiness.
2. Lunch Time @ OHSO Social Beach Bar
After walking through the lanes, I was led to Brighton's beautiful Beachāwhat I've been waiting to see all along. What felt like paradise, I knew I didn't want to leave. Breathing in the fresh breeze made me feel like I was just at home. Everything I saw was so aesthetic. The disco balls at the OHSO Social Beach Bar & Restaurant made it 10x better, not to mention the perfect temperature outside. š
On the beachfront, OHSO was the perfect location to have lunch and cool down with a drink. I had the best mozzarella stickers ever. It came with some interesting sauce I had never had before. If I could describe it, it would be like a sweet jelly jam. It's a little different from the tomato sauce given in the States, but it was pretty good.
3. Brighton Pavilion
After lunch, it was time to explore the Royal Pavilion, known as King George IV Pleasure Palace. Filled with beautiful Chandeliers and decor, each room had its touch. It was something out of a movie.
The Pavilion's vibrant colors, intricate patterns, and luxurious materials create a visually stunning environment, offering a glimpse into the extravagant lifestyle of the Regency era.
Fun fact: The Great Kitchen is where King George would impress his VIP Guest. Food and Dining was the center of Life at the Royal Pavilion. Having the opportunity to see it for myself, I can see why his guests would be there.

4. Walking the Pier & the Beach
Before returning to London, I knew I wanted to return to explore some more. So I did! š
Walking through the Pier, there was so much to see. It offered restaurants to eat, fun rides, and an Arcade/casino. Giving it a Las Vegas kind of feel. There are also cute souvenir and ice cream shops.
Everything about it reminded me of home. It was like being at the Santa Monica Pier š” There's even this photo booth for pictures you can check out at the entrance. Also, when planning to go to their pier, it's 1 pound to enter. ( But It should be free )
After walking on the pier, I decided to walk around what I missed the first time. Through the lens of my camera, I was captivated by Brighton's true charm and Beach Life. It is always fun to people-watch lol.
It was cool to see families and the little ones jump in for a little splash. While there, I even got some cute postcards for the memories. Highly Recommend :)
On that note, I would highly recommend visiting Brighton Beach if you're in London or from somewhere else. They really do have it all, not only for the beach waves but also for it's unique shops and seafood restaurants. I'd go back all over again.
